THIS IS YOUR DREAM TEAM

We call it full-service because we put everything we have into it, no matter your project’s scale. We collaborate with architects and designers to boost the amazing to the sublime. You will never hear us say no. A new request may change the budget or timeline, but you always get what you want. We sweat the small details, commit to big ideas and ban egos from the jobsite.

 BIG PICTURE

It’s our job to pressure test your dream against structural issues, engineering challenges and production logistics — and our industry experience makes that possible. We are a carefully selected group of carpenters, engineers, architects and interior designers by trade. We are not paper contractors who farm the work out to subs. We do the work because we love to do it.

WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE

You have a dedicated team, which includes a construction manager, a lead carpenter and a project manager, for the duration of your project. This unique three-pronged support system allows us to react quickly and efficiently to an often changing landscape.

Your on-site construction manager is in the middle of the action every day to handle the overall schedule, budget and design implications. They will coordinate the labor, schedule material deliveries, oversee building department inspections and report on any issues that may crop up in real time.

Also on-site is your lead carpenter. They are in charge of what’s being built, how it’s being built and who is building it.

Your project manager is the link between design and construction. They are involved early in the project and are responsible for collecting, coordinating, and organizing all the information required to manifest your interior designer and/or architect’s vision. Throughout the project, they partner with the construciton manager to prioritize what needs to be completed next, share detailed notes and progress photos every week, and try to stay ahead of any surprises.

We want you to be more than in the loop. We want you to be in control. So we have weekly meetings with you and your A+B project management team along with your designer and architect. You will receive detailed notes and progress photos every week, and are informed of any change orders that arise.

The A+B difference

  • An on-site crew means we don’t have to rely on subcontractors, and can pivot based on project needs

  • We care not only about our relationship with you, but also with your neighbors and building management (think: dog walking, grocery carrying, friendly conversation, earplugs and meticulous cleanup)

  • Prism Awards for Rising Star of the Year and Site Supervisor of the Year, Best of Houzz award for Service, Best of Boston Custom Home Builder

  • 5-year warranty on all work

Types of work

With the wrong team, you can hate the process of remodeling. This team was fantastic. I’m sure there were some stumbling blocks, some bottlenecks. But I never felt them, they were just such pros. They were on board and enthusiastic and improved upon everything.

“I love the cohesive team we’ve built here, the spirit of it. We’re selective about who we hire. It’s not about warm bodies. It’s about people who want to come to work every day.

Before becoming construction managers, we had a school teacher, a painter, a bike mechanic. What they have in common is that they are passionate, creative, hard-working, organized. They are interesting to talk to and interested in the world around them.

As construction managers, we’re part of a triad with the project managers and lead carpenters. Together we can anticipate problems and move quickly to solve them. It’s the kind of support system you rarely see in this business.”
