My family and I have been vacationing at Hermit Island for the past 14 years. It's old-school beach camping with no electricity, no open radios, and tents only. Hermit Island it's quiet, peaceful, and astonishingly beautiful.

Pemigewasset River in Campton, New Hampshire
This is an annual trip I take with an amazing group of women - we've been doing it for almost 10 years. We rent giant tubes and float down the river for 3 hours - all tied together in one big circle - with an absurd amount of beverages and snacks on a separate float in the middle. No cell phones, no distractions, just good conversation in the middle of nowhere. Talk about low effort, high reward.
The Blue Ridge Parkway
One of the prettiest places to go and ride a motorcycle. Nothing better than the fog lifting off the mountains as the day warms up and suddenly you're surrounded by beautiful scenery.
