A full master suite remodel in this gracious Charlestown row house started as a panicked call for help with a serious water leak, which turned out to be caused by a shower pan improperly installed (by a previous builder!). We were conscripted to repair extensive damage to their second, first, and garden level finishes, which included wood and tile flooring, plaster, trim and paint. In addition, we needed to remediate significant rotting in long soaked framing members. The homeowners made the best of an unfortunate situation by taking the opportunity to realize their vision of a singular master suite.
The scope evolved into a wholesale transformation of the bathroom, which features an expansive cantilevered stone shower bench with Chinese wood drawers, floating shelves, a custom double basin vanity, frameless shower glass surrounding the walk-in shower, multiple shower heads, custom stone niches, as well as other modern details including a designer free-standing tub, floating mirror panels and flush mortised drawer pulls.
